Licensing Procedures & Policies

  • Downloaded Evaluation Copies
    • Fully functional for 30 days from first installation.
    • There are NO restrictions during the evaluation period.
    • All features and capabilities will function the same as a purchased copy.
    • Standard support is included for first time users. (for bootable hard drives only)
            - MONDAY - FRIDAY 9am-5pm EST

  • Activating an Evaluation
    • Once LONE-TAR is purchased, you will be emailed a licensed PDF file.
    • PDF contains Activation Key, Serial Number and installation instructions.
    • Once Activated, you have 10 days to Register online.

  • Registration: The Final Step
    • Registration is the final step to fully licensing LONE-TAR
    • Once LONE-TAR is Activated, you will go online to the Registration Page
    • The Registration Key is visible immediately
    • LONE-TAR must be registered to get support
    • Added support is now included for a crashed hard drive. 24 x 7 x 365

  • REGISTRATION POLICY

    If you want to transfer the Registration to a different CPU, there will be a transfer fee to do so. Once a LONE-TAR Serial Number is Registered to a End-User, that license is bound to that End-User forever. Once LONE-TAR is Registered, there are NO refunds. If a new copy is Activated, but NOT Registered, you can stock rotate to a different Operating System at no cost.

  • UPGRADE POLICY

    Renewals/Upgrades include the most recent LONE-TAR & AIR-BAG/RESCUE-RANGER release available at time of purchase. When upgrading a previously purchased copy of LONE-TAR, the upgrade cost is refundable within 7 days of purchase providing there are incompatibility issues. LONE-TAR Serial Numbers will qualify for an upgrade at the upgrade price as long as the support on the LONE-TAR Serial Number is not 5 years old or older.

  • RETURN POLICY

    As long as a new copy of LONE-TAR is not Registered on our online registration form, you have 60 days from date of purchase to be able to receive a full refund. Once LONE-TAR is Registered, there are NO refunds. Upgrades are only refundable within 7 days of purchase providing there are incompatibility issues with our software and your hardware.

  • TECHNICAL SUPPORT POLICY
    • [ New Copy ] Technical Support expires ONE year from first Registration.
    • [ Renewal ] Technical Support expires ONE year from date of purchase.
    • Non bootable Hard Drive: 24x7
            - Must have valid LONE-TAR Serial Number to request 24x7 DR Support
            - Must be in support to receive FREE 24X7 DR Support
            - If you are out of support and need 24x7 DR Support, the cost is $285.00 per hour
    • Other support issues: MON-FRI 9:00am - 5:00pm EST
    • Support Renewal Explanation:
            - Subscription: Purchase PRIOR to support expiration with same OS.
            - Non-Subscription: Purchase AFTER support expiration with same OS.
    • Updates within that series are available at no charge for LONE-TAR version purchased.
            Example:
                  - v4.3.1.6 is considered the 4.3.x series
                  - v4.2.1.4 is considered the 4.2.x series
